UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

The College of Criminal Justice offers a five-year bachelor of science program rooted in Northeastern's renowned system of cooperative education, which lets you alternate periods of learning in the classroom with periods of learning in the workplace.

You take the ideas you learn in class and use them in real job settings. You bring questions and insights developed on the job back to the classroom. With actual experience under your belt, you're better able to find innovative answers to ever-changing questions.

Through your co-op positions, you become part of the Boston-area criminal justice community. (You can complete your co-ops anywhere, of course, but most students take advantage of the excitement and unparalleled opportunities that Boston offers.)

As you study criminology, corrections, legal studies, policing , security , or juvenile justice you work alongside police officers, prosecutors, defense attorneys, parole officers and other professionals. You learn how the criminal justice system really operates, and how you want to fit into it.

And it doesn't stop there. At Northeastern, the advantages of co-op and a rigorous professional education combine with a strong emphasis on the liberal arts and sciences — creating an integrated education unique in the academic world.
