Juvenile Justice

The emphasis in juvenile justice prepares students for careers in delinquency prevention and control. Students who major in criminal justice with an emphasis in juvenile justice will find that there are many careers open to them in private and public agencies working to help at-risk youth and juvenile offenders. These include Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers/Big Sisters programs, day treatment centers, probation, aftercare and a wide variety of residential programs (e.g., group homes, halfway houses, runaway shelters, wilderness programs, detention centers, training schools, substance abuse treatment centers).
