What courses should I take this year?http://www.admissions.neu.edu/cj_transfer.html When can I go on my first co-op?External transfer students become eligible to participate in Criminal Justice co-ops upon the satisfactory completion of two semesters of Criminal Justice studies at Northeastern University. Will I be able to graduate from Northeastern on time? This question is more complicated than it appears! There are a variety of factors that interact to determine your eventual date of graduation. First of all, it is important to keep in mind that the standard undergraduate program at Northeastern is five years long. This is because our students complete eighteen months of educational internships in addition to their classroom studies. For this reason, students transferring from traditional four-year schools should expect to graduate a full year later than their counterparts in other institutions. Second, Northeastern awards transfer credit only for those courses in which students received a C or better. Therefore, you may have passed courses at your previous school which are ineligible for transfer to Northeastern due to low grades. This may result in a reduced class standing as compared to your previous institution. Finally, Criminal Justice majors at Northeastern have the flexibility of choosing whether or not to participate in the co-op program. Transfer students who decide not to participate in co-op may progress towards graduation at an accelerated rate as compared to their peers. Who should I contact to request information about transferring?http://www.admissions.neu.edu/request_transfer.html
