Click here to request further informaton about the graduate program.All portions of the application must be received by: • March 1 for priority fall admission • August 1 for fall admission • Oct. 1 for spring admission Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all documents are received by the graduate school. No action will be taken until your admissions file is complete. Please use the following checklist as you prepare your application. #1 Application Form The entire application form must be completed, and the applicant must submit the $50 application fee of by check or money order made payable to Northeastern University. #2 Personal Goal Statement Your personal statement should briefly describe your background, interests and your reasons (expectations, goals, etc.) for wanting to pursue study in the Graduate School of Criminal Justice. You may include any other information that you feel may be useful in considering your application for admission. We do ask, however, that you limit your personal statement to 500 words or less. #3 Transcripts Please have all transcripts sent directly to the Graduate School of Criminal Justice in a sealed envelope. You must submit official transcripts of your academic record from each of the colleges and universities you have attended, regardless of whether or not you received a degree. International Students: Please submit official translated documentation of academic materials including diplomas and mark sheets. #4 Test Requirements Official scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are required, and must be sent directly to the Graduate School from Educational Testing Services (ETS). Only scores from the past five years will be accepted. No application for admission will be considered prior to receipt of official scores from ETS. Our school code for ETS is 3680 and our department code is 2202. For additional information on the GRE please visit their website at www.gre.org #5 Letters of Recommendation Three letters of recommendation are required. Letters should be of an academic and/or professional nature, and not from friends, relatives or neighbors. You should complete the top portion of the recommendation form and forward one to each person whom you have asked to write a recommendation. Please have letters forwarded to the graduate school in a sealed envelope. #6 Declaration and Certification of Finances Form (international applicants only) International students are required to complete a Declaration and Certification of Finance form. This form and directions can be found at http://www.northeastern.edu/issi/immigration/forms.html #7 Submit Application Please do not hesitate to call or write if you need further details regarding the application process or the academic offerings of the program.
