Position: Lipman Family Professor of Criminal Justice
Background: Professor Fox holds a joint appointment in Criminal Justice and Law, Policy and Society. He specializes in serial/mass murder, youth and school violence, capital punishment, and statistical methods, having published 16 books and dozens of articles on these topics. As a leading authority on homicide, He has also published more than 200 newspaper op-eds on various topics related to crime and justice. Fox appears regularly on national television and in newspapers around the country and has been profiled in several media outlets, including a two-part cover story in USA Today and a feature in The New York Times. He frequently gives lectures and expert testimony, including 15 appearances before Congress and briefings to President Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, Attorney General Janet Reno and Princess Anne of Great Britain. Finally, Fox was the 2007 recipient of the Hugo Adam Bedau Award for excellence in death penalty scholarship. |
